| Peace One Day |

In September 1999 Jeremy Gilley founded the Peace Project Peace One Day and in 2001 he achieved his objective of seeing the United Nations adopt September 21 as World Peace Day.This formally established an annual day of Global Cease Fire which is being established as an institution across the world.Peace One Day is now working to make Peace Day 2012 a Global Truce to herald the largest reduction in global violence, both domestically and internationally. |

Young Stars is a campaign started by young people from the London Borough of Newham. They have created a Peace Pledge for young people who wish to avoid gang memberships and the violence associated with them. Young Stars, who are now supported by Catalyst in Communities, are working in partnership with Peace One Day to get the Peace Pledge signed by as many people as possible in all 5 Olympic Boroughs by Peace Day 2012- the day of Global Truce View the Young Stars website and the campaign on Facebook |
